Letter Summer learning journey

This is my instructions
On your blog, post five questions that you would like to ask Sir Edmund Hillary about his life.

Dear Sir Edmund Hillary,

If I got to ask Sir Edmund Hillary 5 questions this is what they would be, my first question is: how high is Mount Everest and how long do you think it takes to get to the top. My 2nd question is why do you think its such a big accomplishment to get to the top of Mount Everest. Then my next question is what were your feeling when you became an idol to new Zealand. After that I would ask from a scale from 1 to 10 what would you rate your excitement as you reached the top of Mount Everest.
and the last question is what was your life like after you climbed Mount Everest.

1.how high is Mount Everest and how long do you think it takes to get to the top
2.why do you think its such a big accomplishment to get to the top of Mount Everest.
3.what were your feeling when you became an idol to new Zealand.
4.from a scale from 1 to 10 what would you rate your excitement as you reached the top of Mount Everest.
5.what was your life/emotions like after you climbed Mount Everest and were you feeling different.

  1. Kia ora Evangeline,
I like the question 5 specially because is prompting him to talk about how the experience of climbing Mt. Everest changed his life. This is a very relevant question and is what we call an open question. Open questions are great because it doesn't have one right answer but rather it opens up to a myriad of possible explanations which can provide the interviewer a broad context of the situation.
As food for thought, in your question 1 you need to reframe it as "How high is Mt Everest and how long it took you to get to the top? Because he did it so he would know for sure.
Keep up with the good work!
    Kia kaha,
    Patricia
