Walt: answer questions using similes, Metaphor, Hyperbole and Figurative language

1) “We’ve got the crowd on its feet” What image is the author trying to describe?
>The crowd was so excited that they felt the need to stand and cheer

2) The author says that the crowd ‘Claps and cheers’, could you use figurative language to add more detail?

>The crowd clapped and cheered so loud it sounded like a stampede of elephants.

3) Try write some examples of figurative language to describe the audience:
> A) Simile: The crowd clapped and cheered so loud it sounded like a stampede of elephants.
> B) Metaphor:The crowd is so loud there acting like they haven't seen a performance.
> C) Hyperbole:The crowd was so loud if they clapped anymore they would have no hands

4 )Try write some examples of figurative language to describe the girls pukana eyes.
> A) Simile: The girls pukana eyes were as bright as the sun
> B) Metaphor:The girls eyes could get brighter then the sun if they got any bigger
> C) Hyperbole:The girls eyes it seem like it was gonna fall out.

5) Try write some examples of figurative language to describe how Te Ata feels when he feels sick.
> A) Simile: He felt as sick as a dead fly
> B) Metaphor: He was a sloth when he finished his operation
> C) Hyperbole: He was so sick he felt like he was gonna die

Task Description: This was my reading task that Mr Goodwin gave us. We answered questions that were given to us about the book. It was fun and hard at the same time.
