Today I watched a video about waka ama I would love to be in the race because I love to compete, it lots of fun and you get really fit. I enjoy being on the water and would love to experience waka ama.

I agree, waka ama looks so fun and very competitive! What is something you enjoy most about being on the water?
For me, I love kayaking because it’s so relaxing but you also get fit at the same time. I love exploring New Zealand’s beautiful beaches and being on the lookout for the oceans sea life. I also love that I can take my dog with me. She sits either in front or behind me on my kayak and watches as I paddle us through the water.
Thanks for that awesome photo, I can now say I know the parts of a traditional waka in Maori! Choice!
